27 year-old Sydney-born country artist Bianca Joulianou has a soft spot for the old days and a sound that doesn’t quite belong to any one era. Drawing inspiration from the rawness of an old country record or the moody, late-night feel of a song that sounds better after dark. Bianca brings a little bit of the past into her own take on modern country music.
For Bianca, music has never been about sticking to one particular sound or following what’s popular. It’s about making the kind of music she’d want to listen to herself, whether it’s something she’s experienced firsthand or a story that simply caught her attention.
In 2025, Bianca started making waves in the Australian country music scene with Bad Routine, which peaked inside the Top 40 of the CountryTown Australia chart. Her follow-up single, Cowboy Casanova, continued that momentum and quickly became a favourite among listeners.
“I still can’t believe how many people connected with Cowboy Cas. The funny thing is, I used all these American references in the song and I’ve never even been to America. A lot of the inspiration came from watching old American movies so I wasn’t sure if it was gonna sound real enough for them but turns out it hit the mark.”

Her most recent single, The Rich Girl, has followed in the same footsteps, receiving nationwide radio play and reaching the Top 20 on Australian country radio charts. Although the story behind the song isn’t one Bianca has personally lived, that was part of what made her want to release it.
“Not every song I sing has to be my story. With The Rich Girl, I wanted to put something out that really showed people the kind of music I love making and the direction I want to take my sound. Sometimes you just connect with a story, even if you haven’t lived it.”
Now, with a spot on the CMC Rocks 2027 lineup, Bianca is preparing for one of the biggest milestones of her career. It’s a moment that means a great deal to an independent artist who has spent years finding her sound, writing songs and working towards the opportunity to share them on a bigger stage.

But there’s a whole other side to Bianca that exists well beyond music.
Growing up, fishing, hunting, gathering and cooking whatever the family brought home were simply part of everyday life. Those traditions have stayed with her, and when she’s not writing, recording or performing, there’s a good chance she’ll be somewhere outdoors doing exactly that.
“I was lucky enough to grow up doing all of this with my family. It’s a huge part of who I am, and it’s a way of life I never want to lose, no matter where music takes me.”
And perhaps that’s what sits at the heart of Bianca’s music. A love for the old ways, an appreciation for a good story, and a desire to make something that feels as real as the life she lives.
“When people listen to my music, I want them to be able to picture the story unfolding in their head, almost like they’re watching a movie. And by the time the song ends, I want them to feel like they’ve been a part of that story, whether it’s something they’ve experienced themselves or not.”
Ultimately, Bianca has the power to resonate far beyond Australia and in every corner of the world.

“I’m just an Aussie country singer who’s just as happy getting dressed up for a show as I am getting my hands dirty out in the bush.”
